I took a Pueblan milksnake I am selling to get sexed today...and the person doing it has sexed all my snakes correctly in the past but wasn't sure what the sex was even after probbing as he doesn't work with milks. He probed the snake twice and both times it was 6 scales. I can't find the numbers on the net, so what sex would this be most likely?
6 is right in that "iffy" range but I'd go with male as well. A female pueblan will likely probe about 3. Males would be more like 10... but don't tell your guy, you don't want him to feel like less of a man.
How old/big is this snake? I've tried to probe hatchling/juvenile milks before and it can be tough when they are so small. Popping would be the way to go if "he's" still small....
