How to raise humidity.
hey ive had my bp for 6weeks or so and his last 2 sheds were good, but i got a humidistat/thermomter kinda thing and it shows the humidity at 60 when i spray down the cage, but it drops 20-25 after about an hour. hes in an aquarium i know they're **** for humidity but what can i do to raise it? he is on paper towel, has a large water dish and i covered half of the lid with a bath towel.

Get that bathtowel nice and damp, then cover it with tinfoil. Should get the humidity up for a few days, then repeat.

If you use a bathtowel, make sure you wash it every week with a disinfectant and let it dry out. If not, you will have a bacteria pit....

U can use a washcloth and get that wet as they sed above....But make it into a ball, and put it near where ur snake stays most of the time. They way the humid. will be near him...and if he must he can rub against it!

Put the water bowl of your terrarium on the heat mat or rope.The water of your bowl will evaporate and incrase humidity of tour terrarium

i use a damp hide i take a disposable plastic flower pot and use some of that coconut fibe stuff i get at the hydroponics shop it comes in bricks and get that nice and damp it seems to work great for now until i can get everyone switched into sterilite containers

Rubbermaids are the way to go :thumbsup: All of mine are in rubbermaids and they have never had a bad shed. Aquariums are nice to look at and fun to decorate, but they really suck on the humidity thing. Rubbermaids are easier to keep clean too! That's always a plus
