8=4=4 Cage Plans Or Bigger
I want to build a new cage for my 16' 100 lb retic . I want to go 8=4=4 or bigger but I was wondering if there is any cage plans out there? I'm going to use lino or poli for the inside ,3/4 " plywood and 2 + 4s for the frame. add a blow in humidiffier and a misting system. 250 watt flood lamp and rocks for heat and a removable rubbermaid container as a bath , as for the front , I want to use 2 or three pieces of plexiglass. the cage is going to be up off the floor so I was thinking of putting a door on the side instead of the top.
Any other suggestions or plans would be great Thx.:medteeths :hammer:

First lose the heat rock and light. Your snake does not need the light you can just put a low watt light in it for cleaning or what not. Use heat tape.
And for what you want to build it out of is going to be a real heavy. I used 2x2 for the frame on my enclosures. And you should not have to make it 4' high
But if you want a nice show enclosure if you have a spare room you could alway's make half into a nice enclosure. For a snake that big.
Just go into the enclosure/show case forums and there are some nice pic's of enclosures you can get a idea from.
