Rack temperature problem

Last night I lowered the heat on my BP racks for cooling. I set the nighttime temps for 72 and after 4 hours, noticed that the display on my Helix's still only showed 79. At 5 in the morn. when I came out for a drink, still 79. I Raytek'd the melamine and even the side showed 79, and the heat tape itself showed 81. My question is; how do I get the temp. down in the racks, aside from opening the window and freezing them solid. Any suggestions to get the temp. down would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like the room its self is too hot. How is the temp in the room controlled?
