Breeding Albinos Retic's
HI EVERYONE. IM NEW HERE.
I WAS WONDERING WHAT YOU CAN GET IF YOU BREED NORMAL ALBINOS RETICS TO THE FOLLOWING
SUPER TIGER (HOW MANY SUPER TIGERS AND HOW MANY ARE ALBINOS SUPER TIGERS AND HOW MANY ARE NORMAL ALBINOS?)
TIGER RETIC (HOW MANY ARE TIGER, HOW MANY ARE ALBINOS TIGERS AND HOW MANY ARE NORMAL ALBINOS)
NORMAL RETIC (HOW MANY ARE NORMAL, HOW MANY ARE ALBINOS)
BY HOW MANY I MEAN WHAT IS THE %.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

hum... I dont know how different super tigers are from normal retics, But unless they are just another pattern mutation Im not sure its possible for the snakes to cross breed under normal conditions. and then unless the other snakes are het for the albinism your probably going to have very low chances of getting many anbino out of the bunch.

Welcome to sSNAKESs.com! :bounce:

TIGER RETIC (HOW MANY ARE TIGER, HOW MANY ARE ALBINOS TIGERS AND HOW MANY ARE NORMAL ALBINOS)

IN THEORY you would get 50% tigers and 50% normals, all would be 100% het for albino
Quote:
NORMAL RETIC (HOW MANY ARE NORMAL, HOW MANY ARE ALBINOS)

All offspring would be normal 100% het for albino.
You would get no albinos resulting from the breedings above.
Hope this helps

THANKS FOR THE REPLYS!
SO, ALL I CAN AFORD IS ONE ALBINOS BUT I CAN GET A SUPER TIGER OR A NORMAL RETIC WITH IT.
I CANT PRODUCE ANY ALBINOS TIGERS, OR ALBINOS SUPER TIGERS IF THEY ARE BRED WITH A ALBINOS?
WHAT SHOULD I GET TO MAKE MORE ALBINOS? JUST A NORMAL RETIC? I WANT TO PRODUCE THE MOST ALBINOS POSSIBLE.
I AM NOT GOOD WITH GENETICS.
THANKS

No, you cannot prodce albino tigers by breeding an albino with a tiger or super tiger. The tiger trait is a co-dominant trait, while albino is a simple recessive trait.
The only way you can produce albino retics are:
albino x albino (all albinos)
albino x het albino (50% albinos, 50% hets)
het albino x het albino (25% normals, 25% albinos, 50% hets)
To produce an albino tiger retic you need to breed:
tiger het albino x het albino
tiger het albino x tiger het albino (will also get supers)
tiger het albino x albino

You said you had a choice of tiger or super tiger. Even though you will not get albinos in the first generation take the supers. This way all the babies will be tigers het albino. It will put you on the track to produce super tiger albinos.

I saw one of those albino tiger retics in Daytona, touched it even. I think they [tigers and super tigers] look better in the non-albino form.

OK, THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSES.
I THINK I KNOW WHAT I WANT BUT I WILL CHECK TO SEE IF IM RIGHT ABOUT WHAT THEY WILL PRODUCE.
WHAT WILL ONE ALBINOS MALE, BRED TOO 2 FEMALE NORMAL (HET. ALBINOS) RETICS PRODUCE?
1/2 NORMALS HET ALBINOS
1/2 ALBINOS
IS THAT RIGHT?
THANK YOU
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE ARE TIGERS HET. ALBINOS YET I MIGHT WANT TO GET ONE OF THEM?

To LEARN about the way genetics works, NERD has a very basic, easy to understand Genetics Tutorials
