Riley, adopted yearling ball python

This is Riley, my adopted yearling ball python (python regius). He is a doll, and I'm in love with him. He was recused from my 11 year old cousin, who didn't know a thing about temps and humidity. He also fed live, and Riley has a few bite scars to prove it. He now feeds readily on f/k large rats.
His enclosure is currently a 40 gallon rubbermaid, heated by a UTH Soon (as in, whenever I get around to building it), I will be constructing an enclosure for him that is 4x2x2. Should I make it bigger or smaller? He is 3ft, and still sheds regularly. He is only a yearling, after all. I also am looking to get an either ghost, het ghost, or het albino female to go with him.

Tomorrow I will take pictures of my baby BCI, Toaster.

i think 4x2x2 is a bit big for a ball python.

i use a 3'x18"x18" enclosure for mine and he will spend the rest of his life in that.

Alright, thanks. Now that I think about it, it is definately too big. I will make it 3x1.5x1 or something along those lines.

Little cutie! Glad he's in better hands

3x2x1 is fine if your making a good sized enclosure with lots of decoration, but 4x2 is fine too. The larger you make it the more stuff you have to put in it, that's all
