I was wondering if someone could give me a rough idea of average weights and lengths for a Male BP starting from 3 months old to say 18 months old. I have looked in 'The Ball Python Manual' and can only find 'Age:Weight' growth charts for breeding a Female python. Maybe someone could post me a link to an online 'growth' chart for a male?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Regards
Fiona.

IMHO its too variable to give even a rough guideline of that sort of thing. For instance, I remember my male at the age of 8 months was as large as some full grown adults. One of my girls is tiny in comparison to what my other girl was at the same age. There are many variables in a snakes growth, as well as the snakes own unique genetic makeup.
I agree with linds, I WAS feeding my Male bp adult mice until we came back to Kansas, then we started him on rats, and he has grown about 1 1/2 feet since we got him on rats, so he has grown 1 1/2 feet in about 5-6 months.

Yeah, BP's have such a wide range of sizes, its incredible. I've seen adults at 1300 grams 3 1/2 feet long, and others that are 3200 whopping grams at 5 feet or more. As for my experience, I have a 2 month old male who is 91 grams, and 5 month old 1.1 who are 104 grams each. I also have a yearling ( 1- 1 1/2 year old to be exact)who is 510 grams. So you never know basically. =(
