I have no problem eating Gator Tail, Rattlesnake, Panda, whatever. As long as the animals are bred for the purpose of food on organized and regulated "farms" and not taken from the wild. Unfortunately, most of the rattler meat comes from the Roundups as I understand it.

Yes, I have eaten rattlesnake many times. It’s quite popular in my hometown in VA. I have not had any since I moved to Chattanooga. It does not taste bad, but there is just too much work involved for a little bit of meat. Alligator is much better. For those who live anywhere near Chatt, you can get gater at Uncle Bud’s Catfish house in East Ridge. It cut into small pieces and deep fried. It is pretty good, but it’s much better when you get your own gater and can cut the tail into steaks and grill them.

I've tried gator and rattlesnake. I wouldn't eat the snake again, it wasn't that good. Gator tail is a pretty popular meal here in Florida though.

I COULDNT eat a snake, i wouldnt be able to look my cornsnake in the eye again. im very fond of snakes and probilly alot of people are on this site, so i think if u like something that much u should respect it. and not kill it for food.
im not judging anyone here, sorry if it sounds like that. Totally my opinion, everyone has there own.

Well you eat meat and feed your snake meat and your snake is made out of meat. So its a catch 22.
I am with BWSmith. I'll eat anything as long as it was meant for food.

were going to buy some "pet" chickens! for free eggs mmmm
but not matter how much i think chickens are cute, i would still buy chicken and id still eat chicken. i would eat snake, if it was farmed and bred for that purpose, just as bwsmith said.
i really love sheep! theyre one of my favourate animals!!! but i still love to eat them! at the end of the day its all part of the food chain!
i guess if i ate it and didnt like it, i would feel kinda bad! i ate some shark the other week and it was... meh! i kinda felt bad that it died and i didnt eat it.... so i ate it anyway lol
