BCC or BCI?

What would you reccommend? I have a Colombian BCI already, but for one of my next snakes I am thinking about either getting a BCC or a Hogg Island Boa (BCI). I have a few questions:

1. What are the temperments like on BCCs? I have heard stories of very aggressive BCCs, is this true for most of them..or are they like any snake (i.e. sometimes you get an aggressive snake, etc)?

2. What are the temperments like for Hoggs?

3. What are the pros and cons of each snake? For those of you who own both of these snakes: which would you choose if you had to pick between the two?

Well B.c.c's have the reputation for being more aggressive but it's bunk! It really depends on the animal, B.c.c are a less forgiveing then B.c.i for they can be harder to care for but I think they are worth it Plus they look so much nicer.

Now on to Hog Isle B.c.i's they are amazing their care is like regular B.c.i's but they stay smaller and they tend to be naturally hypo If you havn't already guess I'm a little biased but Hog Isle's RULE!

<B>BCC</B>
Temperament-wise they are much more sensitive I find. They are a bit more spastic in their movements than BCI, more of a security factor it seems like. They are variable in temperaments, I have both ends of the spectrum. My male must be restrained, if you let go he strikes repeatedly at your face, and he gets so upset he wgas his tail like a dog, thank goodness he's small at only 5.5'. One of my females is perfectly laid back for it all, never even an attempt to bite. In all the BCC I've had the pleasure of working with I've found a higher percentage to be a little nervous than with BCI.
In terms of care they like it slightly warmer and humid than BCI and are less forgiving. If you do screw up its much harder to get them back on track again as well. I also find them to feed less frequently.

<B>Hog Isle BCI</B>
Variable temperaments. I don't find them to be nervous at all, and often they are just bluffing. They are voracious feeders and while in their home thats all thats on their brain. If I so much as walk past the cage at night you hear a big *thwack*. My female is not at all agro... though she has had one or two bad days, but don't let her confuse you with food! People often make the mistake of labelling them as agressive when in fact they are just looking for food. Once they are out they are usually fine. Simple care, same as Colombians.

If I had to pick between the two I couldn't. I like them both, but for different reasons

I agree with LINDS. I have both and they are pretty much the same..but it does depend on the snake itself/

I would never in a million years be able to pick between them, especially because the price is comparable. The only real deciding factor would be, how big of a snake do I want?
