An adult milksnake is not very specific, and they can range from small to large. I would say an adult mouse would be the norm though. Try and find a rubbermaid around 24"+ long, 12"+ wide, and however high you want it. The height is not a real big deal, as they seem to be content with anything you give them.
some species of milks are notorious for staying with small prey, I have an adult pueblan female that mostly refuses anything larger than a big fuzzy, I have a mexi 2/3 her size that wants adult mice (and wishes it could have jumbo rats lol). There is a BIG feeding cost difference between a snake that eats 10 fuzzies a sitting every 7 days and one that eats 1 adult mouse.
