Hello,
Are we not supposed to post anything of a political nature? I noticed that this forum said to post ANYTHING that couldn't be placed elsewhere. i assumed that this was considered "anything". I didn't realize this forum didn't include politics as "something".

*lol* You're right, those sayings and beliefs were there before those 'foreigners' came over.... only the sayings were in Cree, Sioux, Ojibway, etc, and the beliefes were decidedly polytheistic.

The calender is Roman, the Romans at the time weren't christian. Most of the 'christian' holidays are placed where they are because there were important pagan holidays at those times of the year - the christian church put their own holidays in the same places because it's easier to convert a celebration into something else than to stop people from celebrating completely. This includes *gasp* Christmas.

The reason all the calenders we buy have christian holidays printed on them is that it's the strongest religion in the most powerful countries. 4% of people worldwide might be christian, but what's the % of north americans who are christian?

Sorry, couldn't help myself. :rsmile:

I'm not talking about the holidays on the calander. I'm talking about that no matter where you live in the world this is the year 2003 of our lord Jesus Christ. We count years since JC's birth. So what I'm saying is if you're Jewish you live in the year of a person you don't believe is the son of god.

Rich I believe we are not allowed to post things of a political nature because they cause fights, especially since 9/11.

Its totally understandable considering this IS a reptile site. Anything goes I believe means any reptile question that doesn't fit elsewhere. They do allow off topic posts, but no politics because it causes flame wars and arguements.

All kinds, like I said I studied religons of the world while at St. Thoams U. We looked at what different religons belive, teach and their history. How they were founded, when and by who. It's amazing to me how many people don't know that JC was born a jew, lived as a jew and died a jew.
Anyway like others have said we are not supposed to talk religion and politics on the site. Jeff has asked this many many times so this is my last contribution to.

And Yes I'd love to have Gordons cash but he is still a punk and I'd love to see Jr. knock his block off some day!

Hello,
Sorry that this thread wasn't supposed to be posted. I didn't realize that politics and religion were not allowed even though the topic was listed under general. I can assure you that it won't happen again. I was ignorant to the rules. Again, I appologize. (especially to those that it bothered or offended)

As a non- religious person .. I personally like the idea...

The words god bless or anythig like that are everywhere... pretty much impossible for a non -catholic not to see them on a daily basis.. Its like if everyone is alwasy trying to convert you..

So do I see anything with having it not written on a can .. defenetly not..
