No I have not seen that pic yet! Holy cool cham! He's ssssooo green... usually most Rhampholeon species tend to be on the brown side. Check out his weird rostral appendage too.

Now the CRG is another interesting site that I belong to and I really should be spending more time on it as there is some interesting people involved with that site. I always learn something new when I drop by there. Are you a member of the CRG as well?

Yup.

They have a very interesting arrangement. Most of their members and contributors are decent people and the emphasis is on one thing. I really love the breeding program they're involved in.

Tanzania has one of the best records for chameleon export. If you look up the CITES records, you'll find that they do a lot of breeding and farming in country. The export numbers are almost balanced between WC and "CB" farmed chameleons. The best part is that a large portion of the animals produced are released to augment existing populations.

That particular shot is my favorite at the moment. I'm sure there are other undescribed chams still ambling through the trees just waiting to be discovered. I can hardly wait!

I think the eye and legs appear that way because the photographer was a little tight with his depth of focus. At macro range its tough to get a 3D subject crystal clear.

No doctoring required, just one gorgeous chameleon!
