Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Soooooo Happy

well today i called my vet to see if there was anything i could do to help my healthy looking, noneating bp. she said no b/c it was a wc. so i went to feed him today, presented the mouse, no takers. so iresorted to plan b force feeding, i know i know " force feeding is a last resort", but she told me i might have to do this the rest of his life, poor guy. so i pushed the nose of the mouse onto his lips....... he opened his mouth, and i put the mouse in, he clamped down emediatly, and wrapped himself around the f/t mouse, i could have screemed i was so happy, then he swallowed it, that took a while b/c this meal was alittle bigger than the previous mice, so thanx to all for your advice and support.

Congrats, it's a wonderfull feeling when they finally eat. What you described would be called assisted feeding rather than force feeding. Force feeding is when you actually push the prey into the mouth because the snake won't try to swallow it. That would very, very stressfull. With a little luck, hopfully your snake can be conditioned to eat f/t on his own some day.
