How cool is this????

As I was walking up to the door at work this morning what scurries across my path? A baby corn snake!!

This species is definitely NOT from around here so I figure it probably escaped from someone's home. It is in very good condition though.

I will give him a good home along with the rest of my zoo

Its a normal corn... I had to rub my eyes to make sure I was seeing right because it was 8am when I found it.

Pretty much all we have around here in the wild are garter snakes lol

It still looked like a corn even after my coffee

I have no idea who's it could be because I work in a bunker located in the middle of nowhere... there is a farm house down the road... but the farmer looked at me like a nut when I asked him if he lost a snake.

Not something ya hear about everyday! Glad you found it before it made its way somehwere else! Non-native herps loose on the town are never a good thing.

I will keep my fingers crossed that the same fortune befalls me! Glad it was an avid herper who found the stray corn. Now you're both better off.

I wouldn't mind if snakes crossed my doorway too. Lucky you.

Good for you. Kinda wierd how these things seem to just go your way. Like.. finding a sweet snake on the way to work when you just happen to be an avid herper..... hmmmm.......
