Any one going to the Expo in Bristol this weekend keep an eye open for ScReptiles own Chuck Hurd and Joe Bradley. They will be in the venomous area.

welcome. I don't own any snakes, mostly lizards and geckos here, but there are may python owners here, someone will surely have a ball in the crowd and will be able to help you out. As for the pricing. It ranges from place to place and breeder to breeder. Good luck with your research though, sounds like it's comming along fine.

Welcome, §upa§nake! You have come to the right place. Before I started out with snakes, I did lots of research, and I think it really paid off.
The ball I had was about 4 feet or so, and he was kept in a 3' L x 1.5' W x 2' H aquarium.
Prices range depending on many factors, like is it captive bred, if it is a 'designer' morph, or if it has pretty colours, or even who or where you buy it from. Visit the python forums here on ssnakess, and do a search for care sheets.
Great to have you onboard!

Welcome. Ball pythons are great beginner snakes, my first snake was a Ball Python. Try to find a reputable dealer in your area, one with a good guarentee. My local Petsmart actually sells a beginner setup for snakes that includes the enclosure, bedding, heating, and water bowl.

Welcome SupaSnake. You'll find this message board to be a great place to do your research, but I encourage you not to stop here. Your local pet store should have lots of books written by the pros about caring for ball pythons.
Enjoy!
