Glad you are OK. Don't hate the animals...they're just doing what Mother nature has evolved them to do via instinct, fight or flight, both of which may involve biting. Now a good trick to learn when getting bitten is to go limp so when you get bitten you do not pull back, tearing your precious tissues and blood vessells even more, and wait until the animal lets go, or your able to to pour some bitter apple or dronsit on vodka upon the bite site....they will release immediately then and you can put the lizard away and atend to your wounds directly there-after....you never get used to it, or the throbbing pain (crushed blood vessels), but you panic less and know what to do more!

good luck!

everyone gets bitten eventually .. its only a matter of time.. I have not been bitten by a tegue yet, especially a 3 footer.. the jowels (sp) on that thing must be massive. But I have been bitten by a 3 foot water monitor and it was by far the worst bite I had ever encountered..

Lets see some pics of the wound!

Mark said it don't hate the animal. And be more carefull with animals that are not yours, gloves are a good idea.

Hope it heals fast.
