Shedding on his fingers

Hey. My little leo never sheds his fingers when the time comes. Last time he didnt shed anything at all. I went and lifted his eyes to find him white as milk with his eyes closed squirming around. But every shed, the skin stays on his fingers. How can I change this? I spray his cage once before the night of the shed and it usually helps out everything else. Any suggestions? Thanks.

u need to give him a humidity box. get a rubbermaid container, or one of those disposable plastic storage containers. put moss, vermiculite, or soil in it. add water to make it damp, and cut an entrance hole in either the side or top of the container. he will enter it when getting ready to shed, or at anytime. a leo should always have a humitidy box available to him. if he has skin stuck to his toes still, u need to get it off or he will lose his toes. to do that, soak him in some warm water for about 15 minutes. of course, the water should be shallow, just enough to cover his feet. then gently and carefully, using small tweezers, get the skin off of every toe. do this for about five minutes, and if u don't get it all in that time, repeat again later in the day. repeat again the next day if needed. if u always provide a humidity box, u will no longer have this problem. this is a very important part of leo husbandry.

I have to second the tweezer idea but have a cup of warm or lukewarm water next to you so that you can rub it onto his fingers which loosens the skin and makes it easier to remove with the tweezers. I also must second the soaking idea but don't only do this when he has trouble shedding...I give my leos 5 minute long soaks every week. Heheh...every suggestion that i have, Lisa has already mentioned so just follow her instructions

give him a soak in a bath, make sure the water temp is a little warmer than room temp but not hot. you can go longer than 5 minutes and this should loosen the skin.

Put him is a container with sopping wet papertowels, leave him in for about an hour, then the skin turns to mush and you can just pick iot off with no problem.
