Wierd
My Dumerils Boa has been in her water bowl at night when the lamps are off and she is getting cold in there so i stay up really late and take her out and hold for about 2 hours warming her up, and i dont know why she wants to rest in cold water ... and it started happening about 1 week ago and i dont know if she likes it or if theres something wrong with her

Totally checko for mites and if nothing else put a heater under the water dish to keep her warm.

Ok i checked her out she only had one small on hopefully i didnt miss any other ones... so ty i will put a heating pad under the water bowl so if i missed some she wont freeze and get a cold or anything like that but ty guys

dude..go buy something that kills mites and their eggs..where there is one mite..there are probably more..and could be larva somewhere. If I were you, I would I wouldnt waste anytime...go get provent-a-mite or something along those lines...remove everything from the tank..spray it down with that stuff..put down newspaper..put the snake back in..spray the snake (as long as you get the stuff that says you can spray the animal)...then put just the water bowl back in...and repeat spraying the snake each day for a few days..and you should be rid of them. I did this with my BP when I noticed mites..and everything seems to be cool now..I havent seen any in a long time.

yeah, mites are just like fleas... if you saw one, there are definately more.

Changing the cage isn't going to be enough. You need to lay down some paper towel and remove the water dish and Nix the heck out of that snake. Put the water dish back in after two days and then do the whole routine in two weeks again.

NIX is the best way to go in my experience i will help you out step by step but i will have to know the size of your Dumm and the size of the eclosure you keep it in ...send me a PM i will help you ...this realy importent to get undercontrol i have seen cases were mites have been left in the enclosures due to improper steps taken and the "neonat" accualy died from the infestation i believe it was a Childrens Python but regardless of the species a intence thurough cleaning needs to be done ...im sorry if im rambling but i can't stress it enough how importante this is ....ok i will stop now ..lol PM me
