Hey everyone I'm moving to Ottawa for the summer because I got a great job and I was wondering if anyone knew of any really cool herp related stores or zoo's etc in the Ottawa area that I could go to and look at all different kinds of reptiles.

There's always Little Rays' Reptile zoo, located on Bank Street

I'm sure someone will post the appropriate address

5305 Bank, I believe... but That's only if my memory serves me right, which it often doesn't!

There's also the Papanack Zoo but...well... I wouldn't go as far as to recommend it....

Theres a store in Gatineau called "le salon du chien et plus"...translated in english its called "the dog salon and more...."
SPecialzes in reptiles and feeder rodents...can give you the adress when your down here

Thanks for the replies everyone I wont be in Ottawa until around the 20th of June but as soon as I get there I'll definately check all the places out.

Hi Darren, I live in Ottawa. I recently went to Mud Lake in the Brittania area and I found some turtles and snakes. I'm sure there are many other places to visit. I'd recommend Little Ray's as well. And of course there's the Gatineau, you can usually find some cool stuff there. As for herp stores, I can't think of a really good one. I used to buy my feeder insects at Super Pet in Emerald Plaza (on Merivale) cuz they have a wide variety of feeders, but then I switched to buying them online for price reasons. They have a nice selection of herps compared to many Ottawa stores, but the selection is still pretty small. I'd like to someday open a store in Ottawa like Port Credit Pets in Mississauga
