Question What kind of snake was it?

I was out in my yard looking for snakes and i picked up this log and found this little snake it was no bigger then a large earthworm. The only thing that i seen was that It was a rust red color with a white underside, it had no markings. I went to grab a stick beside me to pick it up and it went under some leaves and i could not find it again. I would have just given up on trying to find out what kind of snake it was but, a few days ago i was looking for snakes again and i found the same kind of snake same size and everything. It was not the same snake cause i was a long ways from my last place that i looked, but the same thing happend as soon as i picked up the logs it went under some leaves and i could not find it, it was a very fast little snake. I have looked in books and can not find any pic. of it. I know it's not very much info but if anyone has any idea help me out cause i'm going nuts here not knowing what kind of snake it was that i saw.: confused:

This page should help you out. Going by how small it is, it may be a worm snake.

Sounds to me like you may have found yourself an Eastern Worm Snake.
