Hello again everyone! Just wondering what you guy's/gal's use for a lighting set up for your bloods? The reason I ask is I was thinking of adding one of those expensive ceramic bulb heaters to my set up. I use a infrared 100 watt during the day and then switch it to a 75 watt at night. Do any of you use UV lights? I know they (bloods) are noctual but everyone and there dog seems to have an opinion on snakes and UV lights. Thanks again, great board, potts:}
They don't need uv light,but who's to tell what extra benefits they could get from it. Those che bulbs are great though. In my tank I use both an uth and a che. I haven't had any probs with my reptiles. So its mainly up to you to use both or either one. Both are great sources for heat.
I would not use any type of light for bloods, they like it dark. I agree with Lisa, just use an under tank heater. Lights would put uneccesary stress on the blood.
