Talking Newbie/Soon-to-be Python owner

Hi, all! I'm Maya, so happy to join this community. I've been interested in snakes for years, and have formerly had a few Bearded Dragons. I've always wanted a snake of my own but wasn't 'allowed' before because parents didn't want mice in their freezer Luckily! Now as a young-adult, i can have my own pets if i so please. Currently, I am planning to build a snake habitat in an old terrarium; I am considering a bioactivce setup because I already have a plant that thrives in a terrarium setup (nerve plant/Fittonia albivenis). I'm planning on getting a Ball Python, partly because i love them partly because they're a good 'beginner' snake. Let me know if you have any tips or precautions I should consider!! :-)

Re: Newbie/Soon-to-be Python owner

Welcome to the forum! My main point of advice for any reptile or animal in general is do not follow one source or opinion, try to get multiple opinions on the same thing and talk to people who have experience with the thing.
