Exclamation Boa genetics hypo or super?

Hello there. I’m just getting into breeding, and I’m having a hard time with genetics. I have many questions but let’s start with this one— how do you tell if a boa is hypo or super hypo visually? Especially if there are several genes in the mix.... it’s extremely hard for me to tell

Welcome to the community!

Its honestly hard to tell. Most of the time you're going to have to breed it out.

Re: Boa genetics hypo or super?

There is no way to confirm that visually, I've had Possible super hypo's that were SO crisp and beautiful that you'd bet on it to be a super, that still turned out to be single gene animals. And I've seen muddy superhypo's.. There's just no way to tell, a High quality one gene can look like a super hypo and a low Q super looks like a single gene..
