Is this septicemia????????

Hi, this is my first post. I went to my ball python enclosure and picked him up I soon saw a light red spot on one of the belly scales. I did some research and thought it was septicemia.

Note: the snake was eating very well rarely refused a meal, never regurgitates, active at night, temperature in the enclosure is about 85-86 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity is pretty low, newspaper as substrate and replaced it when I see poop or pee in there.

It would be very much appreciated if you guys can give me any useful information.

Re: Is this septicemia????????

My first reaction is it is most likely nothing, and not to over react. Septicemia produces more of a rashy red look on the scales, and should also be present in multiple places. I need a picture to be sure, but I don't think it is septicemia with the symptoms you described. Keep in mind, I am not a vet, if you think you need a vet, talk to a vet.
