HELP! I lost my baby albino wesetern hognose!
So my hognose is about 6 months old and I lost it yesterday.
The moment I noticed he was gone was about 6 hours after he was able to escape ( i accidentally left my cage a little bit open). When I noticed he was gone me and my family looked over the whole house from in and outside, still we have not succeeded to find him and we are afraid he is hiding in the floor or something.
I have placed multiple pinkies and water places around the house but no success yet. A day has been passed so far.
Also, I have 2 dogs but they are downstairs while the snake escaped upstairs.
Does anybody know some more tips I can use? i already checked all the warm places with no luck.

Small snakes can quickly become dehydrated when loose in the house, and will therefore seek moisture. They are often recovered around plumbing, or piles of laundry.
Try this: place some wet towels in strategic locations along walls. It is likely that a traveling snake will hide under one when it finds it, so check them regularly.

Re: HELP! I lost my baby albino wesetern hognose!
Having lived through this with my first snake, I can understand your panic. The only three recommendations I can offer is; 1. Make certain that all of the heating vents (both intake and delivery) are completely closed and sealed off. This is critical as snakes will often go into the vents for a warm quiet place to hide. At this time of year with heaters going on all the time, the first hint of this happening is a rather unpleasant smell coming from the vents. 2. Keep your eyes open ALL the time. Most of the time, the snakes are found within two meters of where they escaped from, often in the middle of the floor as they are moving from one hiding spot to another. 3. Keep water bowls around where your snake can find them if necessary. They can live quite a while without food, but they will need water. Good luck and please keep us posted on your success.

Re: HELP! I lost my baby albino wesetern hognose!
I would check closets, along the walls, and any boxes or shoes that it can get into to hide. I left the cage for my Albino King open the other day, like I do sometimes so it can roam around the room, but then I forget and have to look for it when I remember. The furthest I found it was about 90 feet away crawling along one of the walls, and the closest was about 50 feet away in the closet of another bedroom.

Re: HELP! I lost my baby albino wesetern hognose!
Thanks for the suggestions, I have again researched all the locations with no success and I will try the wet-towel tactic tomorrow! I will keep you posted.
Also, my snake would be able to go underground from the side of my wall because there is a split between the plinths, do you guys think he went for my heater at the other side of the room or for the split to find a hiding spot as soon as possible after escaping. I'm panicking a little bit because of im afraid he is under the floor and he might not be able to make it back up to some water (when I laid down some pinkies under the floor he did not seem to have eaten any of them). One last thing, would it be able for a snake this small to go upstairs? I have not really searched there as much because I think its impossible for him to go.

Re: HELP! I lost my baby albino wesetern hognose!
I think it is unlikely a small snake will be more then a few feet from his enclosure. Snakes like to feel secure, and will hide in the smallest places. I remember thinking I lost my corn snake once, turns out he was all the way back in a fake hollow log. I didn't think it was possible for any snake to be in there and I tore apart my whole room. He eventually came out when I left some pinky mice all around my room, and on the off chance I missed him somehow I put his log in the cage along with a pinky mouse, and closed the cage. The next morning the pinky mouse was gone from the cage. I then removed him from the log with some spray water, and blocked the very top of it. Lol, poor snake.
