The night before last, my baby jungle carpet python, Ron, got out of his enclosure! I’ve been searching through my room, but I can’t find him... I’m worried he’s left my bedroom as there was quite a bit of time between me finding out he’d escaped (and he probably got out while I was sleeping...) and me realizing that he could get out of the gap under my door and blocking it. He’s just over the length of my forearm, and yesterday was his feeding day. I left a brained f/t fuzzy mouse out for him on a paper towel near the vent (I thought it would be nice and warm that way) but he didn’t touch it.
I’m flying across the country on Monday and won’t be back for two weeks, and I live in an apartment so I can’t tear anything up. My roommates have ferrets and I’m terrified for him
I’m going to leave water out for him in multiple rooms and set out bottle traps, but I’m worried it won’t be enough.
How long will he survive? What else can I do while I’m away? I have a roommate keeping an eye out for him as well. I’m really worried about him— I was just bawling my eyes out.
