What is this tank?

I got this tank a month ago and I can't find any information on it. It was sold to me as a 55gallon tall, but a google search doesn't reveal anything on it. The dimensions are 20"x18"x31" (also having difficulty finding a top for it). If anyone has any suggestions as to colorful reptiles I can keep in there I'm all ears. What I was originally planning to do was house a pair of Calote Tree Dragons in there, but I'm questioning if it's big enough for them.

Wow weird dimensions but multiply the 3 and covert the cubic inches will give you the gallons. Not sure what could be kept in it as an adult.

It's likely the person had no idea what it was because the dimensions are goofy.

Unfortunately there are no standard sized aquariums with those dimensions. Does it look commercially built?

Marineland Perfecto Glass Canopy 20 in. x 18 in.

The dimensions are for what is known as a column aquarium.



This tank is probably gonna be limited to tree frogs just simply due to the limitations of the lids available unless you feel you can build a custom secure screen lid. You could probably modify the lid to allow small arboreal UV required lizards in the tank by maybe cutting out a section of the glass lid in the back and replacing it with screen siliconed in place so the UV doesn't get messed up by the glass.

This tank has natural planted vivarium written all over it.

Yeah, it looks like one you'd buy in the store. I'm definitely capable of making a screen top. I definitely don't want any frogs though. I've not had the best experience with them. Not entirely sure what lizards I could keep I'm there though. I'd like something colorful to make this a display tank. Any suggestions?

I'd agree with you on that...birds chirping outside all day, and then frogs chirping inside all night long.

Not going to happen for me even though some of the frogs do look interesting.

Army of green anoles would be really fun to watch and are always moving around. There are a few other random species, knight anoles that could live as a pair.

There are some vertical loving lizards but I definitely know little about them all.

Perfecto 47gallon column tank. You are probably 1" off in height. Crazy expensive things. Like $250-$400 depending how much a retailer thinks they can rip someone off compared to other products they have. You sometimes see them on special saltwater sites to be shipped from manufacturer. There's a few of those odd tanks in the 30s and 40s of gallons out there that have been around but are made on a limited basis for often saltwater or species specific application. You can splice a piece of plexiglass and mesh lid from a same length tank together for some of the odd rectangles but I just build them out of wood and mesh and seal the wood if I feel like it.

Thanks for the info. I got it for $99 so it sounds like I wasn't ripped off too badly, lol.
