Mate as I said I'm no monitor expert but that's not a nile that's a savannah monitor, I'm almost sure of it maybe one of the more experienced guys can chime in here

Definitely not a Nile. While I'm not 100% sure on what it actually is, I'm with Dave on thinking it's a savannah. No matter what though, I can tell you for sure it's not a nile.

Well I guess the problem with why my Nile was growing so slow has been resolved.

Thank all of you for responding, always learn something new.

Why did I ever mistake it? It looked different barely larger than my thumb... It was foggy... the sun was in my eyes... (insert other excuse for ignorance here)

So for savs, the females can go gravid in months? really? I sure hope its a male, but either way I got alotta work to do.
