Question about mite treatment
So for the first time ever, I'm dealing with mites. I know, exciting right? My question is this. Should I treat the entire collection with Provent a mite, or only the single animal that I know of has mites. I hate to expose any of my snakes to chemicals if it's not necessary, however I'd hate to treat one and not solve the issue. Anyone who has been through this please chime in.

Re: Question about mite treatment
Everything. Assume everything has it. Those little buggers can travel 30 feet in an hour's time and for every 1 you see there's about a dozen that you don't so treat everything.
Is the one that has it in quarantine?

Re: Question about mite treatment
I've been using the Nix treatment on my retic that came with mites. So far it's working really well. I've also treated every snake in my collection as a preventive measure.

Re: Question about mite treatment
Whilst I've never had to deal with mites if I did I think I'd just splash out on predatory mites to deal with them.
I've only ever heard good things and I'd prefer not to use chemicals if I can avoid it.
If I saw mites on one snake I too would treat the lot.
