Moon Stone - Cousteau
Name might change a bit, but for now, my vwry FIRST corn snake! I feel these guys are a basic in all collections so I felt I needed ine too! Lol. Really, I fell in love with his colors, personality, and his face! He is in blue at the moment so I'll get better pics in a few days. Forgot to ask about age....but he is a bealthy weight so who can take a guess in age for me? And yes, he was confirmed male. He was labeled as a moon stone which I had never really heard of before, but I love how pale he is with dark dark eyes. Sknce he is in blue I can't tell if they are dark red or what, but they looked black to me last week when I first saw him. (Yup, I waited a WHOLE WEEK! People should be proud of me...lol).
Currently set up in a quarantine tub.

Re: Moon Stone - Cousteau
Very cool! It's been a while since i've brushed up on corn morphs, but I think moon stone is an anery lavender...that one looks to have hypo in it as well. Should have blue eyes with a ruby hue as well. Nice pick up.

Beautiful! Can't go wrong with a corn!
I passed up a retic that Jay gave me a very good deal on...it hurt being all responsible and paying the car payment and saving for new tires instead...

Re: Moon Stone - Cousteau
Thanks for the info Andy! And I want to say it's hypo as well because I looked up google images and the other moon stones were pretty dark compared to this guy. I know he's in blue, but I saw him last week before that and he was just as pale. The only way I knew he was in blue were that his eyes were milky lol.
And yes. I was trying to hold out for a nice tessera stripe, but I just never saw any I liked. Then I saw this guy and was all "Have to have him!"
Sorry Riddick, adulting sucks! I didn't pay for this guy thoygh. I traded my lesser female for him since I decided to go with a multi gene female (lesser pin) for breeding purposes. Since my goal is to have 'variety', decided swapping for a corn, something I have non of, was better than having an extra BP laying around lol.
Also, opals are nice, but a bit too pink for me (if I'm thinking of the right morph). But this guy is soooo nice and silvery blue/lavender like Andy said. Gah I love him! (The snake, though Andy is cool too lol)

Re: Moon Stone - Cousteau
Yeah Opals are a combo of amel and lavender. Most pictures that I've seen of them they are mostly white. But yeah there's a pinkish wash to them.

Re: Moon Stone - Cousteau
Corns are the best, and I've almost memorized every single white morph there is. XD Except that. I never heard of Moon Stone. He's SUPER pretty, and I love the faded burnt-wood look of his spots.
