Which enclosure for young IJ?

So I picked up a PVC enclosure that's 24" x 24" x 18" with two perches, intending it to be an enclosure for my Irian Jaya Jag while she's growing.

As I brought it into my house I managed to drop both sliding glass panels onto the floor and broke one. I'm having a replacement made (will be picking it up tomorrow).

Then I spotted a big exoterra for sale for 50$. Now I'm generally not a huge fan of them. I find them super heavy and annoying to move (I'm a short lady and it's hard to get a good grip on them haha, not to mention this one is a little bit longer than half my height). But 50$ was a pretty awesome deal so I grabbed it. And managed to get it inside and upstairs without shattering it. Success.

Dog for scale? Ha.

So I was planning on putting my kingsnake in the exo but I didn't realize it was going to be *that* big. My friend keeps telling me to put my carpet in there and the king in the PVC.

Thoughts? Maybe I just need to get another snake to go in this one...

Oh and this is Sacha

She tried to eat my hand. I'm not sure how big she is / how much she weighs because, well, she bites a lot still. We're working on that.

She may appear a bit bigger than she is. I have small hands. This snake below is 260 grams

Anyways. Thanks in advance!

Nice looking carpet and hoggie Val. Your carpet looks like a real spitfire. Hopefully she'll calm down for you soon. I'd probably put the carpet in the enclosure with the most height. I love watching them climb, move and perch in the trees .

I agree with ziggy, having tall enclosures with a snake that actually uses the hight is great! gorgeous animals Sacha has my kind of personality

Re: Which enclosure for young IJ?

Thank you for the replies everyone! I appreciate it

The glass one is slightly shorter than the pvc so I'll put Sacha into the pvc! Once she's in there I'll be making a point to handle her more often and (hopefully) calm her down haha. She's super fun to watch. The plan is to build her a big custom viv for when she's bigger with lots of height.

And thank you everyone for the comments on the snakes! I'm real fond of them both. Sacha definitely is a spitfire!
