Mites?

I found one little black speck on my boa. Not sure if it's a mite. I searched all over her to see if there were more and I didn't find any. I was wondering if people who have experienced mites could post pictures of what their snakes looked like with mites???

If the spec looks like this up close, you have mites. Also check the waterbowl for them, and the snakes eye/vent as they like to hang out there. Very early stages aren't easy to catch, they're fast moving tiny creatures.

put white paper towels on the bottom of your bin or enclosure and see if any turn up there.
