What Type Of Heat Tape Do I Have?

Does anyone know what brand of heat tape this might be? It appears to be a knockoff brand. I got it from Big Apple Pet Supply with the premade wire set and insulating pads. It's absolute garbage and a waste of my money.



I used multiple methods of wiring: the wire clips, soldered the connection or direct wired. They either don't get hot at all or will heat up in sporadic spots and not across the whole length of tape. I have them running full bore with no thermostat at the ones that do have sporadic heat struggle to reach 74 degrees. I'm tryjng to use to heat a plastic tub, but can't because the product sucks!!!.

I've wired lots of flex watt without any issues and use it to heat 90% of my enclosures.

I'm going to contact Big Apple Pet tomorrow and let them know their product is junk. They sent some bullsh*t disclaimer saying that if you can't get the product to heat up correctly to hire an electrician to wire it. they're going to use that loophole to not assume any responsibility for selling a crap product.

No idea, I would stick with flexwatt is you want made in America or THG if you don't care where it was made.

I thought I was buying flex watt from big apple, but I was misled. When you search flex watt heat tape in Google, big apple pet is the first one on the list. I just assumed it was flex watt and ordered it.

Going to my licL reptile show on Saturday so I'll pick up some flex watt in bulk. At least I know it's legit there as I've purchased all my flex watt there in the past.
