Snake ID please

This is in Tulsa Oklahoma, 5 acres of maintained grass and lots of well trimmed trees. No not really any water around right now, though get tiny ponds with heavy rain. Im used to seeing corns, garters, and racers out here. Any ideas what this is, or at least if it's dangerous or not? I have 5 dogs out here, and I don't want them getting hurt, or the snake.

Re: Snake ID please

It is a Western Rat Snake (Pantherophis obsoletus), harmless. Beautiful animal and nice shots, thanks for sharing.

You don't have Corn Snakes (Pantherophis guttatus) in Oklahoma, but you do have Emory's Rat Snakes (Pantherophis emoryi), AKA Great Plains Rat Snakes, which are very similar. They were once considered a less brightly colored subspecies of Corn Snakes.
