Flies and Parasite transmission

I've occasionally seen the hypothesis floated that small flies can spread parasites between tubs. In my quarantine room, I used snakes that were negative for any parasites and snakes that were infected with coccidia and hookworms with each tub being alternated. I treated the infected snakes after 2 weeks but it took some time to clear all parasites. I've now tested the originally clean snakes and all still came back negative. I cannot say that it's not possible, but based on my results, I do not believe it is extremely likely with very small fly species that I had an issue with at that time. The flies also seem to be gone now, very annoying pests nonetheless.
