Building an enclosure.
I am looking at building an enclosure for a new addition. Likely to be a BCC.
If I build it out of 3/4" maple or birch plywood. Would it be strong enough?
It would have sliding doors as well. Cage would be 72x24x24.
I could use 2x4 bracing length wise too.
I seen plans online called.EZ cage plans or something along those lines.
I've built before when I had a burmese. If need be I woukd build that again.

3/4 inch plywood should be plenty strong enough, especially if you use Gorilla glue on the joints along with screws. Others here can give you more feedback on the doors which are not too difficult to install, but I'm not sure what thickness/type of glass you need. You might be able to find some used PVC insulated windows and install them sideways for your doors. Just a thought...

3/4" maple. All joints glued and screwed. 2x2" support frame under the bottom half. It's holding a few hundred pounds of bioactive soil.

Yes, that's Loki's home. It's 6'x2'x4'. The height is an rough estimate. Some of it is for his tub underneath and storage.

That is great looking. It is one of my options.I have had burms that required reinforced cages,so I wasn't sure if the boa would be the same" mentality" so to speak. Looks like a very simple yet effective design. It will be ressessed into the wall so only the front would need to be trimmed out.

Oleman, I have used the EZ print designs from McCarthy boas and they work great. It's pretty much idiot proof as long as you can saw straight just follow the directions. I think you'll be pretty happy.
