Slithersaurus's reptile items/enclosures

Hi guys! I love creating items for reptile such as terrarium decorations, simple accessories and setting up terrarium. Although I may not have much free time to make lots of them or have enough space in the house for many well decorated terrarium.(most of my snakes live in rather simple boxs.) But when I get a chance to make one or more, I will post them here!

So far, I have done creating only one reptiles item that is actually used. Here is my first ever custom background which I use for my Ornate Flying Snake's terrarium.

It was made of stylo foam and then covered with concrete and paints with acrylic color and lacquer. It was good so far, very easy to clean and looks pretty nice in my terrarium.

Here is the said terrarium...

I am now working on the water bowl that can go with the same theme, using similar technic but with paper as base instead. Now it only needed to be painted and cover with lacquer. I will get the picture once it is done.

Enjoy!

Cool! You have an ornate flying snake? Have you ever seen her fly?

Her enclosure is too small for her to perform gliding. It would require enclosure as big as an entire school hall to see such behavior anyway. :P

Re: Slithersaurus's reptile items/enclosures

I LITERALLY had no idea that was a real snake until I just googled it. That is SO awesome, and one of the very few with an actual blue color I've seen. If they weren't rear-fanged, I think I'd be all over that! Hows her temper?

Awesome enclosure designs! I saw a tutorial on how to do this once and if I had the resources and some practice in some boxes I could try. I've got an endless supply of boxes. XD I'm hoping one day to have a bark tree texture for the back of my glass viv, but I may wind up just buying tiles. >_> You got some talent!

nice enclosure; very cool snake. I love when keepers post snakes that are not super common!

Re: Slithersaurus's reptile items/enclosures

Thank you everyone! Ornate flying snake is super common here to the point people getting tired of them. XD They are sometimes considered theif and pest, stealing caged bird and pet rodents and sometimes find it way up the electric wire and cause electric shortage.

There is no laws protecting them as well, so we can catch them at our will. I am trying to breed them though as I know that if I manage to create captived population, we may not need to disturb the wild animals anymore.
