what do you think???

i just picked this little guy up at the airport today nd when i got home i looked at them to make sure everything was ok. they all seemed fine but when i looked at the male he has this big bump on the end of his nose. so i phoned the breeder i bought him off and he said the snake was born like that and that he has seen many boas with this. he assured me he will be fine. so i left it at that.
here is a pic. its not the best but you get the idea.

Wow well i hope he grows out of it but it could be a sign of in breeding and that would make me nervous about future health problems down the road.Is the snake very old? it could also be scar tissue from nose rubbing or an infection from the same.I would have a vet check it out just to be on the safe side.
I hope it works out for you

ROFLMAO..............Michelle, she is very sensitive about her chin. I won't let her see this........lol. Yes, she has a protruding chin, "jay leno" style, and the vet said it was most likely genetic, and she is fine. She is about 18 months old now, over 4ft, and in great health. But I second the checkup with a vet. I worried about her for a few weeks, then I went and had peace of mind.

well like i said i got him from a good breeder so i do trust his word. but i got the snake for a friend and i will deff talk him into to taking the snake to the vet for a checkup.
but i have a good name for him already and the new owners are going to keep it. the bump reminds me of quazimoto(sp), so we call him Quazi.
kind of fits him LOL
