help please! regurgitated/ spit out food

i just fed my calking two adult mice. shes been on two mice bi weekely for as long as i have had her and quite a time before i got her. she took the first mouse no problem and the second was 2/3rds down then she regurged or spit it out... now shes trying to eat it again. the first mouse remained in her stomach. from what i can tell (i didnt weigh the mice) they were the same size.

her husbandry is fine and she just had a really good shed so im really not sure why she would regurgitate it and the try to eat it again if it is indeed to big?!?!

Re: help please! regurgitated/ spit out food

When my snakes regurge it's usually because I'm watching too closely. Even if I've stood there every other time before that they randomly decide they don't like me there and refuse to eat until I move. But that might not be the case since she seems to be eating regardless of being watched.

Just had another snake do this but he ate it when I left no problem. She's probably fine

thanks guys. i think you're both right. she took it the second time no problem haha maybe i was watching to closely or possibly she took it at a poor angle, like at the shoulders and then it was to wide to swallow?

Yeah my RTB is forever repositioning because even at 3 years old he just can't seem to figure out which way to eat it from! haha

This doesn't sound like a major problem IME. Should be ok. Snake just didn't like how it was going down and spit it out. Considering that it wants to swallow it again I'd say the snake is ok.
