So...the Irony....my mom (who hates snakes) got tired of me waffling around for a name...decided SHE would name MY snake...and she didn't do too bad. I am the proud to say my beautiful MBK will so hence forth be known as Calypso. =)

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and other care tips! As I am still quite the excitable new serpentine parent, I promise you will soon get sick of the pics and updates to come!

I like it! Calypso is a wonderful name. Makes me think of beautiful beaches, island music and dancing

Maybe not a 'lover' but an 'acceptor' for sure! She even let me sit in the living room with her last night! (Previously she said she never wanted it out of my room when she's home lol)

Mink, there's always hope! My mom, who HATES spiders, let me get a tarantula when I was 15, it wasn't even a year later she held her for the first time and was fine with it. Once they realize that these animals are as amazing as any other, they'll change their minds! Good luck in your journey with Calypso, and I will never get tired of the pics, so please keep them coming!
