New ball python owner

I recently bought a snake off of someone nearby, it's a baby, about 14 inches in length, He told me that she had eaten last Sunday, she is shedding right now and my question is, how long do I wait if her head and neck isn't shedding, it's been two days since i've had her and i dont know how long she had been shedding prior to that, when I got her she had the same amount of skin left on her head and neck. I am trying my best to do misting and keep the humidity high for her to shed but it doesn't seem like she is having any luck. I know that I shouldn't handle her to help her shed due to the move from her last owner right?

Re: New ball python owner

Welcome and best wishes Pirate. I'm not sure I understand your dilemna. Are you saying the snake has stuck shed on it's head and neck or the snake just hasn't shed yet? The complete shed process takes about 5-10 days for my snakes. That's from the time they go blue, to the clearing up phase, and finally shedding their skin. Most snakes usually won't have any issues with shedding if their husbandry is correct. What are your temps and humidity levels like?

Hey and welcome! More details about your setup and pics of the snake would help.
