New to forum
Hello all!
I got my first snake (first reptile ever) almost a year ago, with my boyfriend (who is now my ex) but I kept Rasputin. He's an Irian Jaya python, and definitely a good choice for a first snake. I have owned everything from raccoons & crows, to horses & goats. And now I very much enjoy reptiles; having cared for a beardie, emerald swift & a white line gecko in addition to the snake.
I have learned a lot in the past year, as my ex was an experienced snake owner; and am looking forward to learning more.
In addition to my new reptile hobby, I am also a wildlife rehabilitator, and i make & sell chainmaille & leather armor & jewelry in my spare time. I work at a large renaissance faire in MA, and have worked at several up & down the east coast.
As my boy grows up, I'm sure I will have lots of questions, though he seems to be a pretty easy keeper. Never a problem feeding (f/t rats) and always docile when I take him out.

Re: New to forum
Hope the attachment works, this was after he ate on friday. I had him out this morning, and tame as usual. We are in a new place now, and he is of course curious, but stays on me at all times. Couldn't ask for a better snake.

Re: New to forum
He looks super content digesting his meal. He's got a beautiful pattern. Is he getting ready to shed? Thanks for sharing.

Re: New to forum
This was shortly after we got him; so little compared to now.
The most recent meal was larger than his last, so he will probably shed soon; but in the pic, its probably just the glare on the glass making him look dull.
