Holdback Update: Litter 2013-A

Our first litter from last year, the Scarface and Almandine babies, just turned one year old last week. As such, I wanted to take a break from breeding pair posts to update everyone on that litter’s holdbacks:

The Boy (A-16)

The First Girl (A-09)

The Second Girl (A-02)

All three yearlings are growing well -- as of last month-end, averaging 109 grams; tomorrow night we will see how they have progressed -- and still very much in the running for a spot in our collection.

Thank you for reading,

Re: Holdback Update: Litter 2013-A

Wow, they look sweet. They're so bright! Not to derail your thread, but I noticed you said as of last month they averaged 109 grams. My male CRB is about a year and a month old and weighs in at 295 grams, my female a year and weighs 235. Am I over-feeding, or do CRB's tend to be heavier/grow faster?

Those BRB look amazing! They are on my to-buy list and from your pics can anyone blame me? Haha

Snoopy, you should be fine, as I feed conservatively. I also skip one week a month due to month-end weighing. I'll know their actual one-year weights later tonight (last month-end was a few weeks shy).

Thank you all for the kind remarks!

BTW, if you *really* want to see them glow, check them out on a Mac -- the pictures seem twice as bright!

Oh most definitely if shipping to the UK isn't a problem? I don't plan on getting one for a while but I'll definitely get in contact when I'm in the market.

Shipping to the UK is tricky, but possible. It's best done with a larger or pooled order. If we can't hit that goal, then go local to save money.
