Dragon Snakes...are these real?!

I just saw these mentioned offhand and I googled them. They are amazing! Are these available in California? Are they poisonous? Where can I get one? Not sure where else to ask for this advice. Thanks!

Google tells me they're Hairy Bush Vipers. So yes the poisonous, haha.

Re: Dragon Snakes...are these real?!

From what I have heard they are very hard to breed in captivity.

Probably not poisonous at all. Bush vipers are venomous though.

I believe these are what most call dragon snakes, however:

Re: Dragon Snakes...are these real?!

Thank you someone for pointing out the distinction between poisonous and venomous... Just saying... If I eat a bush viper... I'm not gonna die..

P. S. Has anyone actually successfully breed dragon snakes?

They do not acclimate well to activity well at all. They are notorious amphibian eaters, and often stress easily as WC imports from their country of origin in Asia. They're worse than eastern hognose snakes.
