I actually don't get any weird questions, because my family is pretty cool with snakes. My grandmother is terrified of them, but my mom and sister find them interesting. They like my gold dust because he's easy to handle and really relaxed.

"Do the mice/rats come back alive after you defrost them?"
"You know that snakes will attempt to attack and eat their owners right?"

Yeah I think "Why?!" is the most common question we're all asked. Those horrified looks when you tell someone you own a snake...

I get a bewildered look from the person every single time... I simply just walk away after that.

I've gotten:
Are the poisonous/venomous?
Do they bite?
Aren't you afraid of them?
Will they try and eat you/me/my brat/my pet?
Do they try and size you up when you have them out?
What do you feed them? (I love opening up the freezer to answer this question...)
Are they slimey?

These are the most obnoxious questions that I get but you have to figure that a lot of people have only very limited exposure to these creatures that we sometimes take for granted and I for one enjoy teaching people about the critters that I love so I always try and put on a smile and answer as politely as possible.
