Zazu's new cage
I got Zazu this cage last weekend. Its 6x6x8. HUGE and takes up about half of my apartment living room. I need to fix a few things before I put her in it. For example the dirt wouldnt be deep enough if I left it as is. I need to replace the screen with possibly Lexan. Although, the humidity is about 80% this week in the NEK... ugh.
I took this photo while it was still in the other persons basement. It looks HUGE in my living room. I like that its tall enough for me to walk in. Im still putting it back together, big project.
No hate, suggestions are welcome. I think im going to mount the lamps under the shelf... not really sure yet.
Also, so im in this chicks basement and all of the sudden a freakin gator jumps on the door. I cant say as ive even seen a alligator as a pet. This guy was about 6 feet id say with some more growing to do. very cool

ROFL!! That pic of the 'gator jumping on the door is hilarious!
I don't know what Zazu is, but that enclosure looks great, even for a home build!

Re: Zazu's new cage
It's hilarious because you never mentioned what Zazu is, and then I didn't finish reading your post yet and I scrolled down and saw the gator and first thing that popped in mind was "What the heck kind of monitor is that?!?! looks like a gator... is he keeping a gator in that cage?!?" Then I went back to read the whole thread lol

Looks pretty nice. Although I don't about the screen. You could possibly find some thin plexi to put there.

Read the OPs post. She said she is replacing the screen with lexan/plexi/equivalent.

Re: Zazu's new cage
You're making me think about the vertical space our cathedral ceiling offers in our master bedroom . . . hmmmm . . . all that wasted space is crying for something interesting!

10 perches the length of the room, some cool black lights and a few Green tree pythons. Done. Only problem is they will be pooping on your heads and...nvm there seems to be more problems the more I think about it. hahahaha

Re: Zazu's new cage
so Zazu's cage is up and running now. I still have a lot of work to do on the cage. But I have her in it. Humidifier is keeping her humidity up until I get some lexan instead of the screen. Looking at the prices of Lexan is nuts. Whats the cheapest?? Glass, Lexan, Plexi?????????
