Is she shedding?
I'm so happy! I decided to hold Magenta today because it's so warm & humid out, a great day for pics!
Unfortunately/Fortunately, I think she's in shed. I brought her outside and saw the sun bounce off her eyes and they were blue!
I snapped some quick pics before I sprayed her tank and placed her back in, but I just want some conformation... do you think these are shed eyes?
Sorry this pic is so small. I had to resize it and my computer messed it up. I liked this pic too. Oh well
Here she is normally:
PS:
1. She was pretty skiddish when I had her out, which isn't normal for her, shedding sign...
2. She's about 2 feet now!

Re: Is she shedding?
I know... I said I didn't know she was in shed, I took her out, saw blue eyes, put her back, and sprayed her tank.
I only took the pics to ask the question. I handled her for about 3 minutes.
And thanks RyanReptile, I was getting worried

Re: Is she shedding?
You did the right thing and I was not mocking you, but that's the reason she was skiddish

I didn't mean to come off as defensive I won't hold her, don't worry, was all I was saying.
P.S. how long does it usually take for a shed to be completed??

Re: Is she shedding?
When her eyes go back to normal I would expect a shed in 2-3 days but every snake is different. Just keep the humidity up and all will be fine.

Re: Is she shedding?
A rat pup seems a little on the small size to me. I just fed my newborn babies there first meal rat pups, I fed 10 of them just to see how many would take, 6 of the ten are gone so the 4 that didn't eat I put in with different ones I will check later.
I will say from the 100 rat pups some were tiny and some were to big for my baby's.

Re: Is she shedding?
Eh... they seem like the right size :P There's always a great sized lump after. I don't know if you mean newborn rats because these have a lot of fur and are about 20-30 grams.
She's 2 months old today and 2 feet.
