Pics of the new additions
The female (notice how wrinkly she is, she was really stiff and her skinny jeans were WAY too tight) and the male. He housed them together and that was just a transport tub. And the male (who wasn't as bad, but still has the stuck shed this morning while she got rid of hers)
Her this morning, she did it all on her own too :P
The hogg
And the rack in brand new condition

Re: Pics of the new additions
Looking good. How much distance between the heat tape and the tub would you say there is? Do the tubs have 4 legs that it stands on or are the bottoms of the tubs completely flat?

Re: Pics of the new additions
Thanks guys, yea I couldn't believe the deal.....until I pulled up to the kids apartment and realized why he could take a loss haha
The bottom has a gap for wires and what not. And the tape runs up the sides, not the belly. Only the bottom shelf has the tape running underneath as well as the sides, but its not being used.
Whats a fair price to sell the bp's together for? I don't want them.....

They will roughly be the same price separately. Albinos usually run for 350-450$. The cheapest I have seen was 300$ but that's only because the seller was a in a rush. Mine cost me 400$.
Lesser Platinums I've seen go as low as 185$ all the way up to 400$.

Re: Pics of the new additions
Anyone here an expert on hoggs? Someone in the reptile community here told me the hogg isn't pure, and looks to be crossed with centralian or something. Ideas? I can take better pictures

They can't know for sure since they don't know the snake's lineage but to be honest it does look mixed. Another picture under a light would be great. I have the complete boa constrictor book by Vin Russo and all the Hog Island Boas have more tan based coloration with faded patterning. The tail looks Hog for sure.

Just curious on this point but isn't there a service available, or is there a grad student here on the forum who could run a quick DNA analysis and compare it to genebank? I work with plants and can usually get a sample mixed in a batch of someone else's project if I need to. With all the money in producing various morphs and localities I figured there would be an available pedigree test.

probably, but for the money it costs I can probably buy a hogg with paperwork to prove its pure, or a few :P
