New Here From Deep East Texas
Hey everyone, i can not even begin to explain how happy I was to find a Forum filled with so many Snake Enthusiasts like myself. My name is Kevin and located in the Deep East Texas region. I have grown up always entrigued by snakes and several times scared my parents with bringing home any one of them that I had found in the wild at a younger age, the fear of them just has not ever been there.
Since moving out and finding a girl friend that shares my interest and love for these beautiful creatures, i have been able to start my own collection with 2 corn snakes, 1 ball python, and recentlyfell in love at first bite and purchased (I personally feel like rescued) a 3ft northern white lip python.
I can honestly admit that I am no where near an expert on snakes, nor do i feel that am a complete amatuer. I do still make mistakes, I am still learning and very willing to take in any and all advice and/or critisium thrown my way.
With all that being said, I hope that I will get to know afew of yall over time, and really look forward to being able to post pics and watch and help everyones babies grow.

Re: New Here From Deep East Texas
I was extremely saddened when I saw him at the small pet store. They had him in a 5.5gal tank, with practically no room at all for him to move. The "expert" their was affraid to get him out of the tank at all, and would only attempt to with gloves, he looked at me like I was crazy wanting to handle him bare handed and even more crazy when I continued to hold him after getting a nice strike to my right hand. Love at first bite, but it has been a huge learning experience for me, since he is the first large enclosure, He is now in a 55gal screen top, zilla controlled undertank heat pad, and lamp, but cant seem to get the temp or humidity to level out, but thats for another section.
But I cant seem to get the forum to allow me post pictures to my post, says i am limited to the number of URLS it may contain

Re: New Here From Deep East Texas
Stunning! I'm glad you took the initiative to handle the snake bare hand. We are all occasionally going to take a bite, its just part of the job! I hope that the python brings you great joy and fits perfect into your snake family!

Welcome! I lived in East Texas (Lufkin) for 8 years. You are fortunate to find someone who shares your interest in snakes! Nice animals.
