Question Vietnamese Centipede

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site, so I apologize in advance if this thread is written in the wrong forum.
For quite some time now I have taken an interest in millipedes/centipedes. Unfortunately, the Giant African millipede is black listed here in Canada so I've been researching a bit about this other creature I'm interested in that is legal to have, the Vietnamese centipede. They are very fascinating to me and although a bit creepy, they seem really cool! I do realize that they are painfully venomous, but holding either way is not an option!
Anyways, I'm completely new to finding exotics anywhere! And really have no idea where to start my search, so my questions are these -
Does anyone know of a special breeder or recommended breeder for these types of things? Also, I live in Saskatchewan so maybe even a local breeder.
Once again, I'm entirely new to locating any types of exotic insects so I'm open to any suggestions and recommendations.
Thank you!

Are you sure venomous insects are legal where you live since the millipede isn't?

Aside from that, I haven't seen a centipede in Ontario for many years. You may want to look into the bigger insect dealers/breeders in Ontario for help though.

Re: Vietnamese Centipede

Centipedes may be available at a herp show. I know I commonly see them at the one I go to.

While the African Black may be black listed, have you checked into Narceus americanus? Though not nearly as big as Archispirostreptus gigas (Giant African Black millipede), N. americanus does get to be about 4inches or so and is native to North America.

Millipedes are seen as an invasive species according to CFIA. So they are not allowed anywhere in Ontario.
